Prices read on 7 October 2026 from each clinic's own website; euro equivalents at the ECB rate of 6 October 2026. Foxpare lists published prices as stated, with the source and date; we do not rank clinics and this is not medical advice.
Short answer. "Turkey teeth" is a British nickname, not a treatment. What the clinics on Foxpare actually publish are per-tooth prices for two different things — crowns and veneers — and per-set prices for "smile makeover" or "Hollywood smile" packages. Of the 20 Ministry-listed dental clinics on Foxpare, 16 publish a zirconia crown price (€112–€357 per tooth, median €227), 12 an E-max crown (€210–€437, median €303) and 11 an E-max veneer (€236–€437, median €295). Five publish a 20-unit package, at €2,828–€8,000. The NHS defines the difference in one sentence: "A crown is a type of cap that completely covers a real tooth." A veneer covers the front of it. Which one a clinic is quoting — and how much of your tooth is removed to fit it — is the question that matters, and it is rarely answered by the price list.
Crown or veneer: what the clinics' own price lists say
Most tariffs list both, priced per tooth, by material:
- DentaTur: "Zirconium Crown: £150 / €170", "E-Max Crown: £200 / €225", "E-Max Veneer: £200 / €225".
- Essos Dental (Antalya): "Monolithic Zirconia Crown: $235 / £185 / €215", "E-Max Crown: $250 / £200 / €230", "E-Max Laminate Veneer: $275 / £220 / €250".
- Maltepe Dental Clinic (Istanbul): "Smile Design CAD/CAM Zirconium crown (per tooth) | 250€", "EMAX Laminate porcelain veneer (per tooth) | 300€".
- Dental Design Turkey (Antalya): "Design Prowhite® Zirconium Porcelain Crown | £225", "Design Promax® Emax Crown | £360", "Design Crystallite® Laminate & Partial Veneer | £300".
- VDC Dental Clinic (Antalya) lists one line for both: "Zirconium Crown & Veneer | 150£ | 170€ | 190quot;.
Some product names do not say which it is. Sevil Smile Studio lists "SEVIL PEARLY TRANSLUCENT® £245.00 GBP" and "SEVIL ELITE WHITE MONO® £310.00 GBP" alongside "E-MAX® Laminate Veneers £280.00 GBP"; Foxpare records the branded lines as published but does not label them crown or veneer, because the clinic does not. Smile Center Turkey prefixes everything with "From" ("E-Max Laminate Veneers … Per tooth | From £260"). Dentakay publishes a crown range, "From $199 – Up to $359 per porcelain crown", and a fixed "$359 per veneer".
Packages: "Hollywood smile", "smile makeover", 8–20 units
Five clinics publish a 20-unit price. WestDent (Izmir): "20 Unit E-max Porcelain Veneers+Bleaching Package+Crowns Package € 3,900" and the same figure for "20 unit Zirconia based". Diamond Dental Antalya: "Full Smile Makeover Package 1 (Duradent) — £2400 — 20 Duradent Zirconium (each £120) — Just treatment without hotel and transfer", rising to "£4000 — 20 E-Max (each £200)" with "6 Nights Accomodation and VIP Transfer". Baron Dental (Side, Antalya): "BEIDEN KIEFER – 20 Monolithische VITA YZ® Zirkonia-Kronen – 4000 €". Essos: "Essos Translucent Monolithic® Package² (20 Crowns): $4415 / £3500 / €4000". Bergedent (Istanbul): "Hollywood Smile Premium (20 teeth) | €8,000". Karat Dental Clinic publishes "Hollywood Smile / Full Mouth Makeover — Original Price: €5,000 — Discounted Price: €2,999" without a number of teeth.
Note what the package names reveal: at Diamond, Baron and Essos the 20-unit price is a set of zirconia crowns; WestDent prices 20 E-max veneers and 20 zirconia-based units the same; Bergedent does not state the material. A "Hollywood smile" is, at most of these clinics, twenty crowns.
The numbers, per tooth
Per clinic, we take the lowest published price that fits the category; euro at the ECB rate of 6 October 2026.
| Published price per tooth | Clinics publishing | Lowest | Median | Highest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zirconia crown | 16 | €112 | €227 | €357 |
| E-max crown | 12 | €210 | €303 | €437 |
| E-max veneer | 11 | €236 | €295 | €437 |
| 20-unit package (any material) | 5 | €2,828 | €4,000 | €8,000 |
Istanbul and Antalya medians for a zirconia crown are €240 (7 clinics) and €189 (7 clinics); for an E-max veneer €280 (4) and €295 (5). Multiply by the number of teeth you are actually offered: 8 veneers at the median is about €2,360; 20 zirconia crowns at the median is about €4,540 — close to the published 20-unit packages, which mostly add hotel nights and transfers.
What the regulator and the dentists' bodies say
The UK General Dental Council's page for patients going abroad says: "You should always be assessed by a qualified dentist before being given a treatment plan and cost estimate." and "We can't guarantee another organisation like us exists in other countries, or even that the standards will be the same as they are here." It asks patients to consider: "What happens if I am unhappy with the results? Who pays for the extra flights, hotel and remedial work?"
The British Dental Association reports a survey of 1,000 UK dentists: "94% had examined patients who travelled abroad for dental treatment; 86% treated cases with problems following treatment abroad." and "87% identified crowns as the treatment most likely to require follow-up work, closely followed by implants at 85%." The BDA's chair is quoted: "The cost of follow-up treatment needs to be factored in. If there are complications, the initial price may not be such a bargain." (BDA press release; survey self-reported by dentists.)
The NHS states that "Veneers are generally only available privately, unless you can show a clinical need for them." In Germany, the Bundeszahnärztekammer notes that "Ein Zahnarzt in Deutschland ist außer bei akuten Notfällen nicht zur Nachbesserung verpflichtet." — a German dentist is not obliged to correct work done abroad except in an acute emergency — and that compensation claims "richtet sich nach dem Recht des Behandlungsortes" (follow the law of the place of treatment). The Irish Dental Association's position is that people travelling abroad should "focus on the quality of work they receive, and whether that work is really necessary, not just the price."
On the Turkish side, the regulation on private oral and dental health facilities (Resmî Gazete 6 October 2022, No. 31975) states in Article 18(9): "Diş hekimi harici sağlık meslek mensupları, hangi surette olursa olsun ağız içi müdahalede bulunamaz." — only dentists may perform work inside the mouth — and in Article 24 bans advertising by facilities in any medium, allowing only preventive, non-misleading information. The 2025 regulation on promotion in health services (Resmî Gazete 12 November 2025, No. 33075) further prohibits promotion that creates the perception that a product or service is "diğerlerinden farklı ya da daha üstün" (different from or superior to others). That is one reason Foxpare does not rank clinics: we list what each publishes.
Questions to ask before you travel
- Crown or veneer — for each tooth? How much of the tooth will be prepared (reduced), and why?
- Which material and brand (zirconia monolithic or layered, E-max, composite), in writing?
- How many teeth, and what is the per-tooth price if the number changes on the day?
- Is the quoted figure fixed, "from", approximate or a discounted price — and is VAT included?
- Will I get a written treatment plan and cost estimate from the dentist before I book flights? (The GDC says you should.)
- What is the policy, and the cost, if a crown fails after I return home?
